This was a great venue for a large group event. It is really comfortable and cosy with a superb atmosphere , warm log fire and all the practical things that were needed - even ice to go in the drinks !|Can really recommend this place. The host is extremely helpful and the facilities very good.|

Great place for exploring this part of Wales. Simple, old-style hostel. Clean and tidy but quirky too. Corris is a lovely village with the best pub in the world two minutes from the hostel. Stay here, bike or walk in the hills and have a pint in the pub; perfect!

We stayed here three nights It was value for money and we were looking for self catering. The owner was friendly and helpful. The room and the dormitory are very clean. The outside view are great too. But parking is very difficult.

This was the destination for our 75 mile journey from Anglesey to Corris via quite a lot of hill climbs culminating in the brute of Bwlch Y Groes, so it was a welcome sight when we arrived in Corris. A very relaxed atmosphere with a host …

I had such a wonderful time at this hostel which welcomed me with open arms. The warden and Michael were so friendly and kind. It's also breathtakingly beautiful, set in the hills of Snowdonia. I will certainly be back and I highly recommend this place!

Very nice experience here. The main dining area with fireplace is very cosy. The breakfast is a good value (unlimited cereals, eggs, cheese, yogurt, coffee, etc. for £4). We were on a bike trip cycling Lon Las Cymru from Cardiff to Bangor. We arrived by bike around 6pm, and no one was there, but the owner left a note for us to make ourselves at home (there was a comedy festival going on in Machynlleth at the time). The main complaints I have are the carpeted bathroom and that our room had a double bunk bed. It was quite tricky for the person on the inside to get in and out of the bed. Otherwise, really friendly owners (once we met them) and a comfortable night's sleep!

Was here 15 years ago. I was drawn back. It's like coming home.||||Laid back, friendly hosts. Spiritual, vegetarian, eco aspect to the place.||||Bunk accommodation but area divided by partitions for privacy.||||Great common area. Good cooking facilities.||||Centre for Alternative Technologies 3 miles (5km) away.
