Had a lovely time at the lodge with our son & dog, house is really cosy and our dog loved the garden (not secure so if you have an escapee please keep that in mind). The beds were so comfy, house equipped with everything we needed. Perfect location for mountain biking, waterfall walks and cosy pubs. House was super clean and easy to find.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Fronwen lodge over new years - we had 5 adults and 3 toddlers/babies and could not rate the lodge highly enough! The lodge was perfectly set up to accommodate us all with a fantastic open plan kitchen/dining/seating area and great size bedrooms (plenty of room for travel cots). The hosts were super friendly and went above and beyond to help us out, including suggestions of days out in the nearby area. It was especially generous of the hosts to leave out some toys that our little ones just loved (especially the train). The local surroundings and village are stunning. Thank you so much for an excellent stay at a great price, we’d love to come back soon.

Great accommodation just down the road from Corris which is a beautiful village with a great cafe (Idris Stores) (takeaway only) and pub (Slaters Arms). We are keen mountain bikers, so loved being so accessible to the trails up in Dyfi Forest and the Dyfi Bike Park in Pantperthog only 10mins down the road. To access the trails, it’s a short ride to Corris, Ceinws or (if on an ebike) straight up from the lodge at Caecenau. Secure lock up for bikes, bike wash station, outside sinks, tumble drier and drying facilities all take the pain out of riding in the Welsh winter. Highly recommended!

A wonderful place to stay - we had a brilliant long Easter Weekend here and did lots of exploring in the Snowdonia National Park. The Lodge is really cozy and you feel like you're deep in the forest when you look out of the window. It's easy to get to the coast, and Cadair Idris is close by. There are loads of excellent guidebooks on the windowsill to plan your adventures from. We will be back as soon as we can.

Fabulous family time. Great hosts. Cleanest holiday home i have ever stayed in. Lovely surroundings with interesting sites to visit nearby. Science park and Labyrinth are a must to visit especially if you have youngsters with you.

Our family had such an amazing stay here. The location is idyllic, with the forest behind you and the sound of water from the river trickling from the mountains felt so peaceful. The house is perfect, cosy and stylish, super comfortable beds, all mod cons, kitchen well equipped, cool garden that lights up at night. The walks are amazing around the area and you are close to some great beaches. Sophie and James are super helpful and lovely, and made our stay so comfortable. Thanks again. We will be back! :)

We had a brilliant stay at Fronwen Lodge for my 30th birthday! We were a group of six and the lodge was spacious, clean and furnished to a very high standard. The location was lovely set in the woods with only the wildlife to hear. It was a great base for our trips out to Aberdovey, Talyllyn Railway and Barmouth and locally Talyllyn Lake, Corris craft centre and local walks. We will certainly return to the lodge if we are in the area again as it is such a lovely part of the world, thank you James and Sophie!
